Typical routine to get to our planned destination. 14 hour flight to Manila from San Francisco for
Gloria and me and Vancouver for the Orcas Christian School travelers. Followed by a four-hour layover before our one hour flight to Laoag.
Curious,
on your personal screen in the 777, as you track the flight, it will
periodically tell you what direction Mecca is for your prayers
At Laoag we collected all luggage and supplies, loading
everyone into the jeepney and lunch at Max’s for what our leader, Graye says
will be our last meal “indoors”! Now
our adventure begins. A seven-hour tight
jeepney ride to Tanglagan Apayao where we will be staying in a government field
office of Balay Ti Umli for the next
several days. We arrive around 10pm, a
quick orientation then dinner prepared by the locals. Excellent vegies with chicken and fish. Time for some much need rest as it starts to
rain.
Loading up for our drive to Tanglagan Apayao
